EFI and Global Imaging Systems, Inc. Announce Agreement on Mobile Workforce Automation Application Suite
Global Dealers Reap Benefits from Increased Operational Efficiency and Improved Customer Service Capabilities with EFI MWA Solution
FOSTER CITY, Calif. — January 9, 2006 — EFI (Nasdaq: EFII), the world leader in digital imaging and print management solutions for commercial and enterprise printing, today announced it has entered into an agreement with Global Imaging Systems, Inc., (Nasdaq: GISX) a leading distributor of office technology solutions. Under the terms of the agreement, Global Imaging Systems will endorse EFI Mobile Workforce Automation's field application suite for use by its dealerships in key U.S. markets. The master agreement is one of five that Global Imaging Systems has with leading imaging companies.
The EFI MWA application suite currently allows Global Imaging dealerships to benefit from the extended features such as EFI MWA's Web Meter Submission tools for single and multiple meters and its flexible wireless application with barcode scanning that can operate on a variety of device platforms such as PDA, laptop and BlackBerry®. In addition, the EFI MWA device management tools for remote employees enable Global Imaging to increase first-call effectiveness for technicians, improve dispatcher-to-tech ratios and increase the volume of technology calls closed daily.
