EFI Customer Requests Highlight Next Release of PSI Management System
Soon-to-be-Released Version 12.0 on Display at EFI Connect
Connect – Las Vegas – May 1, 2006 – EFI (Nasdaq: EFII), the world leader in digital controllers, superwide format printers and inks, and print management solutions, is previewing the next version of its PSI™ print management software at Connect 2006, the printing industry's largest user conference taking place through May 3rd. In addition to a new “Product Master” module, many customer-requested enhancements are included in version 12.0, making the seventh annual EFI users' conference the perfect venue for its preview.
EFI PSI is one of the industry's leading MIS systems designed for the growing commercial printer with sheet, web and/or flexo equipment, providing modules for estimating, quoting, job management, shop floor data collection, inventory and purchasing.

PSI version 12.0 will include a new “Product Master” module, geared towards shops that run a high rate of repeat work and need to track the production specifications, production and shipping histories, as well as life versions of specific items. The upcoming release of PSI includes this module for flexo production, with the next version slated to include offset and digital functionality.
In addition to the enhancements in the forthcoming release, PSI already integrates with many EFI add-on solutions, including PrintFlow®, PrinterSite® Internal, PrinterSite Fulfillment, AutoCount™ and MyDC. PSI is also optimized to work with the Fiery® print controller, the world leading production servers for digital printing. With a one-way exchange between the MIS and Fiery, PSI is interoperable with leading press manufacturers – such as Komori, MAN Roland and others – through an EFI JDF Connector that helps print businesses collect, share, analyze and respond to information in real time.
